Cheres5 It is very difficut to say how much the lid is worth with out seeing atleast a picture. Why? Because there were many potteries scattered around the US at the turn of the century that made stoneware with stars on it. Lids, crocks, pitchers, bowls, bean pots and the like can be found with star markings and they were not produced in Red Wing. Many were produced in Ohio and out East. Western Stoneware also made lids with a star on them. If you could provide a picture it would help in the identification and valuing. Sorry I can't be of more help without it. Steve L
