Judy -- In 1941 Red Wing introduced three cookie jars designed by Charles Murphy. They were "Frier Tuck, "Katrina The Dutch Girl" and "Pierre The Chef". They were produced into the 50 and were the most popular cookie jars ever made by Red Wing. The Chef was still in the 1956 catalog and it was estimated that they made over 200,000 of the Katrina alone. Schraffts, a department store in New York sold them full of cookies. There is almost always a couple of them on Ebay. Some collectors think that some colors are more valuable than others. If you placed a big order with Red Wing you could get them any color you wanted so there are quite a few variatiions out there. Normaly they are valued at from $100 to $125.
