JJW- There is no significance as far as I know with the way things are marked in Bob White. The hollow ware was all made in molds so it was just as easy to either incise Red Wing into the mold so they didn't have to handle the piece one more time. A lot of the butter dishes and some of the vegetable bowls and the relish dishes didn't get marked. I sometimes think that Red Wing marked just as an after thought. Also you must remember that Red Wing was producing Bob White from 1956 untill the time they closed and ideas changed over the years. I went down to the basement and checked my Roundup and some of it is marked with Red and some with black. No one seems to have run across any thing that will tell why Red Wing marked things as they did.
