Hi Paul, I have a butter crock from the 1920s that belonged to my grandmother. It is round, four inches high and eight inches in diameter, with a lid. It is gray with two blue stripes around the outside about half an inch apart, with a gold design between the stripes. The underside of the crock's bottom is stamped "Made in Red Wing." Would this have been made by the Red Wing Pottery Co. or some competitor trying to capitalize on the name? Would any of your reference books cover this type of pottery? Thanks. Judy Daubenmier
