Flybaby -- I usually don't get involved with stoneware mainly I don't know much about it. But a couple of months ago someone wrote in and asked about Ruckles and no one knew anything about it. In February I went back to Des Moines, IA to the MidWinter GetTogether and after it was over there was a private auction and in it were 3 pieces of Ruckles stoneware. This is what I found out about Ruckles. It was manufactured by A.D. Ruckles & Sons in Whitehall, IL. No one seems to know when they closed. The three pieces sold for: 1 gallon crock sold for $25. A 2 gallon Crock sold for $60. A one gallon Jug sold for $10. You must remember this was a Red Wing convention and basicly a Red Wing Auction. That is all I know about Ruckles.
