Very Modern --- I don't ealy know when this cake plate was introduced. The most popular one is painted in the Tampico pattern that was introduced in 1955. I have a 1965 brochure for Tampico and the cake plate is not in there. I have never been able to find anything that says it is part of the dinnerware pattern. I have seen this plate in about three other colors. Some where around here I have one in green. Dinneware doesn't have an oval. Just stoneware.
