Carol --- Check these dimensions with your piece. You said it was 8 inches by 12 inches by 2 1/2 inches deep. Is that 8 inches across the front and 12 inches tall and 2 1/2 from front to back? If that is how it measures you have a vase and not a piece of dinnerware. The number you gave me is for a vase designed by Bell Kogan as part of her Textura Line and introduced by Red Wing in 1950. It is valued at from $30 to $45.
