Rusty, I am not shure if you mis-interpereted my message, I ment no harm/insult. I was just wondering what the red wing rolling pins looked like that you found. Did they have adv. bands, what color were they, etc. Did you find a lot of them and what era shards were surronding them? Also you said you gave one, and photos to RWCS maybe they are buried in the archive at the business office??, I know the historian used to keep this archive. It is really a shame that you were not able to save the dump. It was that dump that got me hooked on red wing pottery when I was in 3rd grade, I discovered it while wandering down by the tracks looking for old bottles, and maybe a few pottery shards. Boy was I suprised, to say the least, acres and acres of pottery yahoo, I thought that whole items could be located, soon I learned to settle for shards and molds. This was when there was a lot more of the dump exposed. The city could have not chosen a worse place to dump road sand, etc. Too bad they did not place all of the shards found during the demolition of the north star pottery down there, by the way does anyone know where they did put those shards?
