Having spent many hours in the Red Wing dump, wasting many pairs of shoes and wearing out many shovels, I have, in fact dug up almost complete examples of Red Wing rolling pins at a depth of 12-16' in a dry year. I doubt Western stoneware brought there stuff to the Red Wing minnesota dump to unload it. Do you believe everything you read in these so called reference books? If you do, you need to find another hobby. I've been there, and dug it. Thats all the proof I need. As far as eBay sellers stating the rolling pins are made by the Red Wing stoneware Company in Red Wing, what would you like them to say? They are made by the Western Stoneware Factory on the outskirts of Red Wing Minnesota at that place with the big sign in front that says "Red Wing Stoneware Company"? Go back to reading, you learn more that way.
