Silly me, I assumed qlpi lived on Earth. Didn't take into consideration s/he might be an astronaut emailing us from outer space. Though it does seem we occasionally get posts from people who must be "from another planet" :) Case in point, the recent post in Wing Talk regarding web cams.
Dino, I assume you mean "G" for the constant of the Earth's gravitational field, rather than "g" as in grams. Gets confusing when talking about grams and gravity in the same discussion.
Nonetheless, no matter where you are weighing the crock and pennies, the relative proportions would hold, and you would come up with the correct dollar amount with the postulated formula. That is, weigh the penny where you are and do the calculations based on that weight!
In a similar vein, anybody know what an "average" mix of change, i.e. pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters is worth per pound?? Trying to figure what my crock full of change is worth, and if it's worthwhile to take it to the bank to cash it in.
