Dear Sir:

I have a stoneware crock that has a capacity of approximately 3 to 4 gallons. It is 11 inches across and 14¼ inches high, with a wooden spigot. The number 174 is stamped in the upper shoulder area. I am attaching a photo of this piece. I am writing in the hopes that you can shed some light on this article. How old it might be, value, etc. Any information you can give would be greatly appreciated. I would also like to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the coming New Year.
