Gary, I am not shure if you have ever used a geiger counter with a audio featuer But. I was not refering to a technical reading when I said that the geiger counter went crazy, I am refering to the sound that the device makes. The technical part was when it registered 2,000 counts per minute. The geiger counter makes sporadic popping sounds in backround radation, When held up to a standard sample it sounds like a bag microwave popcorn popping, But when it was held up to the Plain pattern platter it made a constant loud noise the counts were constant, thus as I see it went crazy!
