Diane -- The palanter # 276 was introduced first to Rumrill in 1933. I have no idea how long it was produced but it must have been a long time because they are pretty common. I have a different idea about chipped goods and that is "If it is chipped it is broken." Your price is valued at from $25 to $35 in mint condition, A chip on the side reduces the value about 60%. The chips that are glazed of course were done at the factory before shipping. They may have even come out of the second shop originally.
The B-1403 was introduced in 1951 and is valued at from $15 to $30.
