Hello Gary, I recently purchased the 11" panelled bowl; it has no chips and looks lovely but it is cracked. This is apparent on the inside and faintly so on the outside so it isn't a hairling but a crack. It still has a solid ring to it and the crack is small on the outside. Question: Should I have this piece professionlly repaired or should I do the epoxy glue thing myself or should I leave it alone??? I paid 49.50 for it and don't want to exceed it's worth but do want to protect it as it is a beauty. I know you don't do values and I know what it is worth in good condition because I have almost memorized your book. Is there some rule of thumb about how value goes down with damage to the piece?
