Kathy -- You have what I call one of Red Wings real fun offerings. they are called "Jolly Jars" Each pattern came in 3 sizes from about a quart down to a littl over a half pint (Thats a guess) The one you have is called "Sweet Shop 7". There is also Mosaic 8 and Sierra 5. Sweet Shop and Mosaic were the same shape but Mosaic was painted with about 1 inch squares of different colors. Sierra had a shape like it was sent from Persia and had strange little figures painted on it. I have seen Sierra in pure white also. According to the company literature they could be used for snack jars, Bathroom jars, cannister sets, cookie jars, candy jars, dresser sets, and munch jars. A complete set of Jolly Jars is getting increasingly difficult to find. I believe a set of each pattern would cost over $225. Oh yes, they were made in the late 50s.
