GARY, I just bought a 5 gal shoulder jug at an auction in Young America ,MN. This is the first piece of Red Wing I have owned. It has a blue hand script "5" and a wing that measures 2 1/4". then, below, there is a round, blue, emblem about 1 1/4" in dia. I have done some reading but have failed to find the significance of the round vs oval emblem or the large vs small wing. Oh, and what do they mean by "ski"? Ok, if I still have your attention, I will attempt another Q. There are several fingerprint size spots were they missed with the glaze. Does this detract from the value? I paid $40 for the jug. I would appreciate answers to any or all of my questions. It sure is a cool lookin item. Thanks Gary.------------JIM
