Couldn't find it in Red Wing Potters & Their Wares? Impossible! Actually Bill & Jennifer, there was a time when I could quote the page number of anything in our book, but now I'm happy to just be able to remember whether or not it's in there somewhere. That's why we went to the trouble of putting an index in it. In this case the index says that information on koverwates can be found on pages 155 & 157. Actually, one is also shown next to a large jar on the poster on page 158. The koverwates aren't exceptionally rare in the 15-gallon size. The 3-gallon however, is quite special. If you look closely at the logo, they were made by the Red Wing Union Stoneware Co., not the Union Stoneware Co., which was a predecessor.
