Is there a flaw in the Bob White water pitcher mold?

I have a Bob White water pitcher that has a flaw on the side that resembles a thumprint. I have also seen the same flaw in other water pitchers; but have not seen a water pitcher without said flaw. Therefore I question if the mold has a flaw.
