You've posed an interesting question, one that we haven't seen on AW/G before... and it brings another question to mind that I've never, even once, thought of....
What was it about the process of making "Brushed Ware" that makes the name so obvious? Can you (Wally or Gary) give an explaination of the manufacturing process that would answer my question and Chris' too?
I'll bet the glaze was placed on the green ware and then brushed off with a wire/bristle brush prior to firing; in which case Chris could totally immerse his piece in paint thinner with no (well, little) harm. How close am I?
