The "signature" mark with the words Made in Red Wimg in a circle were most prominently used on a line of kitchenware called Gray Line, which was produced by the Red Wing Union Stoneware Company from the late 1920's and continuing for about 10 years. In a compilation of known examples of Red Wing produced stoneware bearing dated advertising (Found by following the links under "Advertising" from the Hom Page of this site) the earliest noted piece of Gray Line, or "spongeband", as it is sometimes called, is 1928 and the latest 1935. That mark was also used occasionally on other items of Red Wing ware.
