Joan, I'm confused by the short subject you gave your inquiry, "Bentwood Churn". Are you asking about wooden churns or stoneware? Up until the end of the last century, stoneware churns, jugs, jars and such were traditionally decorated with hand-drawn designs in dark blue. Is this what you're inquiring about? What in particular can I tell You about it? How it was done, who did it, what was the significance of the decoration, why did the factories stop doing it? Let me know what you had in question.
