I purchased a Red Wing Union Stoneware Company butter churn some time ago. It looked great when I bought it, but now a white substance has formed on some surfaces. I understand that this white stuff is likely the result of bleaching. What should I do now? Would it help to soak it in water or even baking soda to stop the reaction? How long does it take bleach to ruin a stoneware item?
