Hi Gary, Thanks for responding to my question. My bowl actually measures 7 1/4", and is flat sided, except for a 3/4" lip that goes all the way around the top. The only thing I have a question again about is aren't cap bowls glazed on the very top rim? This piece, I know was hard to see from photo, is not glazed on the very top rim, that is why I was calling it a butter crock. It measures 3 1/4" tall and has no markings at all on the bottom. Are all the cap bowls incised with a number on the bottom??? Thanks Again, Amy
