I recently purchased this ashtray on eBay, and was utterly amazed at the price I got it for. Now I am questioning its authenticity. The piece is in absolutely perfect condition with no repairs or chips of any kind. The size, dimensions of the Indian girl and the raised letter markings on the bottom all correspond to the real thing I've seen in Red Wing books and other listings on the internet. The only drawback I see on this ashtray is some thinness in the coloring on some of the raised areas of the piece. Otherwise, the glaze is excellent. Also, it was purchased from a person in Minnesota. I am just wondering if reproductions of Pretty Red Wing are being made today. Every reference I have consulted leads me to believe this ashtray is authentic, but someone with more knowledge about this type of thing might be able to help me decide. Thanks
