To all: Jim points out a "VERY" important thing when it comes to auctions and ebay. They are extremely poor indicators of value. There is entirely too much emotion and little logic and reason. I have made many great purchases at auction and turned around the very next day and doubled and in many cases tripled my money by reslling the item. On the other hand I have also seen very common items sell for 10 times as much as any price guide would quote. Bottom line Auctions are way too volatile and are a poor indicator of value. They can be a great place to buy and a risky place to sell. Caveat emptor! Steve L.
