David, As far as I know this is STILL America. We are free to voice our opinions, whether they are controversial, deroragatory or not. If you think the collectors live in a dream world where everything is just rosy, peachy and all good, then perhaps you took on the wrong job. This is the only place Collectors can ask questions and get the truth. Nothing was said that was a lie, nor was it flaming. There is no way you can control the questions, comments or concerns that the collectors post. If you want someone to sugar coat others concerns and tell them gooey lies just to keep a positive note, then perhaps you need to set up a forum where the questions/concerns anybody wants to post are moderated and go through you first so you can decide what gets posted to this board. Is that what everyone wants? Your view of what others need to see? Believe me, we have run several group discussion boards and thats the FIRST thing that will destroy a board and its members. Let it go David, I don't believe the collectors want a board thats un-American and full of 1/2 truths. I've said it before and I'll say it again, The Soceity as blown away the true experts-the old timers that have been there, done that, worked for the Potteries, etc. Any person off the street can write a book and many have-that does NOT mean they are experts. What exactly did Ray do that was so great besides take awesome pictures of other peoples collections? Now if anyone replys to this post saying I have no right to speak my mind and that I've "gone too far" then THAT would be considered flaming.
