The recent threads on the RWCS have to be one of the longest that I have seen in a long time on Wing Tips. Lets see if some changes can be made. I have made a copy of Gail's post which describes the situation we are facing and suggests a pretty good solution. Lets act on this post and that way specific problems can be identified and brought to the board with suggestions. ------------------------------------------------morgan_g@charter.net As far as begining "our" own group of disaffected Red Wing collectors - I personally have not had any contact with the Board mostly because I am out here in Connecticut and the commute is a bitch. BUT, I am also a Minnesotan, my wife was born in Red Wing and raised in Frontneac and her mom lived in Red Wing until her recent stroke. Now what does that trivia mean ?? Means that after 35 years we are still drawn back to Red Wing for some odd reason and try as I might to kick the pottery habit, no can do. So - WE (all of us posting and bitching and moaning) MUST somehow correlate: (1) What are exactly the chief complaints against the RWCS - explain in detail and give precise, documentable examples. DO NOT WHINE!! Whining is 100% BS and won't us any good. (2) For each complaint, provide a logical solution that can actually be carried out. (Having the current board members jump off a cliff individually or en mass is a no-no.) (3) For each logical solution provide a minimal solution........this is the backup position that you would accept if the board tells us to stick the first one. (4) We should identify how to actually submit the results to the board without instantly generating intense hatred on their part. Perhaps there is a specific member that would be symathetic to at least listening and considering. (5) Some one out there who is familiar with the RWCS should go over the organizations by-laws, rules, regulations, commandments, and etc. This way we can review the individual complaints & solutions and determine where they fit - or if they need to be added somewhere. Now all this is a pain, but it is the approach best taken, even by dead horses or head bangers. Mosty of all, this is NOT COMPLAINING but taking ACTION. IF someone wants to volunteer - we should all submit our ideas and solutions to that person by email, the person would correlate all of them, eliminating repeats and tossing out those outlawed by the Geneva Convention. When done, a final list would be emailed back to to the others for their review and OK. From thence.........off to tilting windmills.
