I'd echo Diana's comments and her assessment of the event. For me, there are plenty of "the wares" to admire and purchase but the social aspect is the most important part of this gathering. It's nice to be immersed in Red Wing in a relaxing, low-key atmosphere. The weekend is a great way to renew old friendships and make new ones. If you haven't attended a MidWinter since the event moved to Des Moines, give it a try. The smaller self-contained motel complex with nearby parking works so much better for us than did the Kahler in Rochester.
