Brandon The originals have the typical Red Wing Zinc glaze feel and color and are stoneware clay. The repros I have seen are almost more like a art pottery clay. Very white and the glazing is very glossy. They also are lighter in weight. They don't feel as heavy. Hope that helps. Steve L.
