Thank you for your reply Steve. I assume that I have done the right thing by putting epoxy on a couple of those that have cracks? I did so, as it seemed to me that once they developed a small crack, the crack just seemed to get larger over time. Some of my crock have just very small ones, and they always seem to appear on the bottom of the crock first, then work their way up the side or sides. Most are what I would call a "hairline" crack, not large in nature. What worries me is that that hairline is going to grow! As I said in my first post, I "try" to never move them around, and they are all inside. I don't know that any of mine are of "real" value, but they are to me! :-) I have a 1, and 4 gallon WH (Whitehall Sp & S. Co.,) 2, 3 and 6 gallon Redwings, the 3 and the 6 have the Birchleaf, and the six has handles, all blue color, and the 2 has the "redwing," as well as a 4 gallon Redwing water cooler with the original lid and spigot! Mint!, Also have a 3 gallon butter churn with handles and a 10 gallon crock and 30 gallon crock by Western Stoneware. An 8 gallon by Blue Band, a 5 gallon water cooler with lid and spigot (orginal from the Pittsburg Pottery Co. as well as a 5 gallon crock. And the one I like the best is a 20 gallon Blue ribbon Brand, Buckeye Pottery Co., Macomb Ill. It has the original bail type handles on it and is mint! We got it from an old farmer that had it sitting in his "wash house." I also have several old jugs, brown and cream colored that belonged to my great grandparents. No markings on them, except for one which has an "M" on the front of it. It's brown. Does anything sound rare at all?
