I am interested in knowing if cracked crocks have any value. I have several crocks, water coolers that I have collected in the past 22 years from auctions, personal sales from the owners, etc. They are my own collection, and I would never sell them, I enjoy them in my home! Some have cracks, or have developed cracks. I know that one can repair fine cracks, even larger ones with epoxy. Which we have done. Why do "newer cracks" appear? Is it just an age thing? I hardly ever move them for fear of breakage. They are inside, in what I guess I would consider an even climate. (We use a fireplace to heat this room.) NO, they are not near it! my brother told me that my collection would sell for alot of money where he lives. Cracked or not. He said that folks are buying up crocks like crazy! I have been going to farm auctions for the last 20 years and buying them for little or nothing where I live. Is this the case in the cities? I was amazed at what he said they would pay for a cracked crock!
