Only my second convention, but I know it's just the beginning of many more. Missed all of the educational seminars last year, but made them this year. So enjoyable and what a great way to learn about all of Red Wing. Dave Short's enthusiasm for salt glaze is contagious! The new museum is off to a great start!
One unpleasantry to note, however. I stayed at the Red Wing Best Western Quiet House. The Innkeeper was quite upset about several guests - society members - who became belligerent and verbally abusive with him over room rates and reservation for next year - in front of many other guests waiting to check in. I think it's important to rememer that each of us represents and is, in some way, an" ambassador: for the society. Such abhorrent public behavior diminishes all that is great about the society and its members.
