What’s it take to do create and publish the Index?

I honestly believe that the BOD, in formulating their reply to my letter, had little concept of what it takes to create and publish an index of 22 years worth of newsletters. Here are a few of the complexities:

Creation of the Database -- The MS Access 2000 database created to capture contains 8 tables and 6 forms designed specifically to enter index information.

Access to all RWCS Newsletters -- Over the last 4 years we have spent hundreds of dollars in the acquisition of all 22 years worth of newsletters.

Understanding of the Wares -- It takes someone with a general knowledge of Red Wing dinnerware, artware, stoneware, RWCS history, etc. to properly create an index of important concepts contained in an article.

FrontPage 2000 -- Frontpage 2000, a component of the $700 Microsoft Office 2000 Premium Edition, is the program that allows us to publish the database on the web.

Web based Query Forms -- Creation of the Web-based forms that will allow a user to query the database.

Hardware -- Almost without saying, it takes several thousand dollars worth of computer hardware, communications lines, and a web server (the Wing Tips host computer) for which I pay $55/month.

Technical Expertise -- I have 12 years experience in the computer/database industry and 3-4 years experience in web business. I guess we could do with less?

Time (the biggie) -- I estimate that it will take approximately 150 hours to take the RWCS Newsletter Index project from soup to nuts!
