Rhestelton -- Yes, Charles Murphy was a very important designer for Red Wing. He went to work for them in 1941 and went in the service for the war and came back to work untill they closed in 1967, When the pottery closed in 1967 Charls and Marie moved to Sadona where Charles made his living painting Wildlife. Charles died in 1995 and his wife still lives there. Yes there is a great interest in Charles Murphy prints among the 7,500 Red Wing Collectors Society members.
