I Bought A Harvest Salad plate at an antique shop in red wing and it had a black ink stamp of the letters FDR on the back of the plate I was told that they would wash right off and that it was a dealer security feature. When I got the plate home I tryed to wash them off and due to the fine crazeing in the plate the ink soaked in to the pottery and the stained the letters FDR in the plate and they won't come out I tryed soaking the plate in Hydrogen Peroxide for two days and scrubing with a wet rag the letters still would not come out ! Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to remove the letters except bleach, without harming the plate. Thanks in advance David
