So many good things, so little time!

To All:

As of Rochester 1999 Wing Tips is officially 3 years old. To date, the site has been nothing but a blessing my me and my family; it's brought us closer together, allowed us to make new friends, and even allowed our new friends to make new friends. I began Wing Tips as a learning endeavor into, primarily, 2 things... Red Wing and learning the in's-and-out's of the internet. I feel pretty well squared away with the technology we're using but undoubtedly have a long way to go with the Wares; I'm still interested!

Over the last several months though life has gotten to be, almost too, good. We have a new and wonderful son, I have a job that is extremely rewarding, my wife is about to graduate from medical school, Lisa will become a Captain in the Army, we've been stationed in El Paso, TX, we'll have to sell the house, I'll have to find a new job... need I say more (although I could)?

With all this going on I feel a little overwhelmed. I hate to partially do things, yet it seems that everything I do cannot be completed to my satisfaction. Something has got to give, at least for a while, so I can take care of my family in the next several months.

My original thoughts were that I would have to shut down the site in order to find time for Lisa & Hague. Then I thought that someone may take over daily maintenance of Wing Tips for 4-6 months allowing me some time off; this would be ideal to me.

The idea has been proposed to just suspend those pages on the site that take the most maintenance, the ads and wares info pages; paying attention to only those pages that need archiving on an in-frequent basis. It's a great idea but would it be worth the effort without these pages?

I could go on forever here but will not. I guess my questions to the general public are these:

1 - Would it be worth continuing the site with only Wing Talk & Ask Wally & Gary (an the rest of the site)as the major attractions?

1.1 - Would the Wing Tips volunteers feel it's fair if I jumped ship for a while?

2 - Is there anyone out there willing to spell me on the site for 6 months? Even if I pay the bills?

3 - Spoze the RWCS would fill the gap on their site?

Something is going to change, it's just a matter of what, not when. Anyone have some ideas that may provide me some relief and, at the same time, provide the services the Red Wing community has come to expect?

Love to hear what you think and, no matter, what comes of this, I absolutely hold everyone that frequents this site near and dear.
