I took a coupla sips of my mood altering drug of choise (Caffeen Free Diet Mountain Dew), squinted real hard and I think I can see some worthwhile intent in the Board's action. If you put aside the clumsey language of the letter, what the Board is talking about is not as outrageous as it seems. It is really quite reasonable for an organisation putting on an event to reserve the rights to broadcast, publication and distribution of images involving the event.
That said, I'm dismayed that the Board represented the Society's and my interests as a member so poorly and unprofessionally.
