As a California member of the RWCS I am amazed and ashamed at that letter the BOD sent.
I can understand the concern not to be pictured on the Net, but a board member ran publicly for the position so any kind of privacy invasion claim is a bit suspect.
But whats cncerns me is the knee-jerk reaction and tone that letter. Threatening to throw someone out the Society for wanting to publicize the meeting shows a poor lack of leadership and judgment from the leadership.
This isn't the kind of thoughful and considered response we should expect from the Society's elected leadership.
One really wonders ... why, given the stated reasons seem pretextual.
As a West Coast member of the Society, I'd like to request an official investiagtion into this behavior -- behavior that means once again I can't see firsthand the mid-winter get-together.
Can anyone tell me the procedure, if any, to recall leaders or directors -- and, in the alternative, maybe we all should begin discussion of a reorganized and reconstituted Society ...
