Well, I want to thank the guys who gave helpful hints on how to remove a cork from a salt shaker. Gary, I live in a Condo so didn't want to take the chance of the buildings smoke detectors going off. I like where I live. David, I was afraid the screw driver would slip and cause a chip before it got a grip [Oh, my, did I write that?]. Ben, the cut, pick and shake out method worked the best. Husband, Wayne, worked on it for an hour or so. Thank you, Dear. Now all I have to do is find a place that sells the right size. I suppose I'll be carring the shaker around in my purse for awhile.
