Very funney. The way I heard that one the FIRST time Kathleen, it went: "How do you get a pregnant elephant out of the back seat of a Volkswagen?" The answer was: "It's easier than getting an elephant pregnant in the back seat of a Volkswagen!" I'm not sure that the old answer will help you, though. I've used liquid Draino to remove a mouse nest (complete with mouse) from a jug. It disolves anything organic, takes a coupla days. I make no guarantee whether drain cleaners do any harm to earthenware pottery, like bleach can. My jug was stoneware, so it wasn't affected. You might put it in the oven at a couple hundred degrees (and take the battery out of your smoke detector). Don't heat or cool it too rapidly or at too high of a temperature, just high enough to thouroghly char the cork (Hold it between 180 and 200 for an hour or two to drive any moisture out from the clay before taking up to around 400). Then you ought to be able to break it up using a pencil and dump out the pieces.
