Byron, I agree with much of your statement. E-bay isn't bad it is the dishonest people using it that cause problems. I think most of its users are great. We were sold an item listed as mint, it wasn't and the seller wouldn't accept the return. She insisted we damaged it when we unpacked it. There isn't much you can do in a situation like this. She then threatened to leave bad feedback if we used that forum to post our feedback. We did anyway and of course she did so in return. I don't think it was meant to used this way,again what can you do. We have heard from several others with very, very, simillar experiences using this seller. We always tell them we will not buy from her again and all you can do is warn others when asked. Perhaps Wing Tips is the forum to provide this service, a place to provide Red Wing e-bay users a list of unscrupulous sellers.That said we continue to use e-bay, however we buy very carefully.
