As I've noted previously, my experience with ebay has generally been positive. However, I do keep hearing, in various venues, about opportunistic individuals plying ebay enriching themselves dishonestly by taking advantage of a system of commerce which clearly favors sellers over buyers. I believe we would all prefer to avoid these dishonest individuals, and perhaps this site could be of service in this respect. I am reasonably certain that maintaining a list of suspects would be fraught with problems. Perhaps a listing of links to the ebay feedback of suspected ebay abusers could be a subtle, non-intrusive way to identify problem folks. Or, perhaps those with a poor ebay experience could be offered a forum on this site to recount in detail the experience. How about calling it "eBaywatch". If there are truly some unquestionably dishonest individuals taking advantage of the ebay system (and us), it certainly would be a benefit to all of us to know who they are, so that if we choose to enter their auctions, at least we do so with both eyes open.
