As we state on the Home Page, Wing Tips is totally committed to antique Red Wing Wares! The site has been growing at a break-neck pace since it first came on line in February of 1996 so may be a little difficult (at first) to get a handle on.
This introduction page was specifically designed to assist new Wing Tips visitors to quickly utilize the vast Red Wing resources available on Wing Tips. I hope you find it useful!
Your Wing Tips Host,
Byron B. Bush

| Latest Updates | If you're a frequent visitor to Wing Tips the Latest Updates page is
one of the most important pages in the entire site. At last count, there were well over 400 pages and 600 images in Wing Tips; as I make updates to the site I log all (at least most) changes to this page and provide a link taking you to the updated page. |
| The Gallery | If you're new to Red Wing the first thing you'll want to do
is see some of the vast number of pieces the Potteries made in their 100+ year history
(literally 10's of thousands). Wing Tips offers 2 types of viewing for the wares:
|
| Articles | If you want a historical perspective of Red Wing without spending hundreds of dollars for books, this is the place for you. The write ups in this section were produced by a contributor to the site and are VERY informative. |
| Guest Book | If you're new to Wing Tips and like what you see it's always appreciated when you take a moment to make a public declaration by dropping a quick note to your host. |
| Ask Wally & Paul About Red Wing |
I've found that many new visitors to the site are seeking quick, expert advice on Red Wing; Boy, can we help you! Wally Armstrong and Paul Kosmatka have been around the Wares for years and are considered experts in their own field; Wally answers questions about Artware and Dinnerware while Paul answers questions about Red Wing stoneware. These two are very active on the net; after you Submit Your Question About Red Wing you can expect to receive an answer from Wally or Paul within a day or two. |
| For Sale / Wanted Ads (Free) | One of the big draws to Wing Tips is the Red Wing For Sale/Wanted
ads available on the site. Ads are broken down by the following categories:
And within the above they are separated by:
We've even got a couple sections in the ad section where you can leave information about your favorite Red Wing:
It costs you absolutely nothing to Submit An Ad! |
| Collectors | If you're a Red Wing Collector or Dealer and want to make some
contacts this is the page for you! This is merely a list of other self-proclaimed "Wingers". By taking just a moment to Register With Wing Tips as a Red Wing Collector / Dealer you join all the others on this page to share your contact information such as name/email address/etc. |
| Reference | As you progress into collecting Red Wing you absolutely must have
all the books related to the wares! Our reference section provides you with a description of almost every Red Wing reference book along with all the details you need to order if from your favorite book store. There are even scanned images of covers when I could get them. |
| Wing Talk |
This part of Wing Tips is for those people that want to share their
thoughts about "Red Wing Things". You'll find that most posts in this page concern recent events occurring in the Red Wing Collectors society but are certainly not limited to this. |
| Beigh Watch |
If you're a frequent purchaser or seller of the "Wares" on the web this discussion group is for you! We have near-daily talks about what's going on with eBay and just about every aspect of online shopping for Red Wing. |
| Condition Assessment of Clay Products |
With online buying and selling on the rise, the importance of using common terms and definitions in your condition description is of utmost importance! The Wing Tips Condition Assessment page is one of the webs first resources to help you determine the condition of clay products (not just Red Wing). We provide terms, definitions, and even a few pictures of damage you'll find on Artware, Dinnerware, and Stoneware. |
| Red Wing Collectors Society | Everyone that's into Red Wing joins the RWCS! This
page provides an overview of the Society and the benefits of membership. If you're into Red Wing, you really should join! |
| RWCS Gopher Chapter | If you live in the Mid-West and want to rub elbows with some hard core Wingers on a monthly basis you really should join the RWCS Gopher Chapter! |
| RWCS Meeting Coverage | Every year the Red Wing Collectors Society puts on a HUGE convention
in Red Wing, MN. Literally 1000's of people attend this event; this series of Convention 97 pages shares
the experience. The second most significant annual meeting the RWCS puts on is the Mid Winter Get-Together in Rochester, MN. It's another great time for all us Wingers to re-acquaint; check out the fun in our Rochester 98 coverage. |
| Related Links | A pretty good list of links related to Red Wing. If you know of a site that is related to Red Wing and is not in this list, please contact me. |
| Trivia | Lets face it, no good web site is worth it's weight unless it's got
something to make you think! Our trivia quizzes provide you with some questions, and pretty funny multiple choice answers, related to the Wares. |
| Hand Crafted Red Wing Jewelry | I'm very active at making Sterling Silver jewelry out of Red Wing dinnerware and Stoneware; Maybe you'll like my offerings and buy a one-of-a-kind piece! |
| Collector Spotlight | One of the best aspects of Red Wing is not only collecting but to
see other collections. The Collector Spotlight page features pictures of items taken of personal Red Wing collections; I always encourage people to send photos and electronic pics to share! |
| Red Wing Resource Download Page |
This page contains links to resources that you can download from
Wing Tips and use on your PC at home. Right now the big draw is a Red Wing Artware
Cross Reference list that will lead you to pictures of specific artware items in the
standard Red Wing references. There's and ASCII delimited version and MS Access 97
version ready and waiting for you! |
