Introduction To Wing Tips

As we state on the Home Page, Wing Tips is totally committed to antique Red Wing Wares! The site has been growing at a break-neck pace since it first came on line in February of 1996 so may be a little difficult (at first) to get a handle on.

This introduction page was specifically designed to assist new Wing Tips visitors to quickly utilize the vast Red Wing resources available on Wing Tips. I hope you find it useful!

Page Name/Link Description
Latest Updates If you're a frequent visitor to Wing Tips the Latest Updates page is one of the most important pages in the entire site.

At last count, there were well over 400 pages and 600 images in Wing Tips; as I make updates to the site I log all (at least most) changes to this page and provide a link taking you to the updated page.

The Gallery If you're new to Red Wing the first thing you'll want to do is see some of the vast number of pieces the Potteries made in their 100+ year history (literally 10's of thousands).

Wing Tips offers 2 types of viewing for the wares:

  1. Page-By-Page Gallery

Suggested for the first time viewer, Wing Tips has 10's of pages delineated by product category (Artware / Stoneware / Dinnerware / Lamps / Logos / etc) that allow you to view images of Red Wing in a semi-narrated format. Many of the pages have links to other related links like Dinnerware accessory lists, scans of original Red Wing brochures, etc.

  2. Red Wing Quick Viewer

Red Wing Quick ViewerFor those of you that want to see a lot of Red Wing very quickly, the Quick Viewer provides a non-narrated, "Frames" view of the wares. This page is conveniently broken into 3 frames that allow speedy access to pics by "Category" and "Individual Items".

The Quick Viewer is available from from this page or the main Gallery Page.

Articles If you want a historical perspective of Red Wing without spending hundreds of dollars for books, this is the place for you. The write ups in this section were produced by a contributor to the site and are VERY informative.
Guest Book If you're new to Wing Tips and like what you see it's always appreciated when you take a moment to make a public declaration by dropping a quick note to your host.

These two are very active on the net; after you Submit Your Question About Red Wing you can expect to receive an answer from Wally or Paul within a day or two.

For Sale / Wanted Ads (Free) One of the big draws to Wing Tips is the Red Wing For Sale/Wanted ads available on the site. Ads are broken down by the following categories:
  1. For Sale
  2. Wanted

And within the above they are separated by:

It costs you absolutely nothing to Submit An Ad!
