The Reiss book (see our reference section in this site), p 81, shows the five clocks made for the Mursen company in 1947. Along with Chef, shown below, Mammy, Tik Tok the Clown, Gretel, and Polo Player, all designed by Charles Murphy, were made.

Found this Chef clock in Rochester, MN. Priced at $190 he had a rather large crack. This clock is white and black and is fully glazed. |

This Chef clock has white and black glaze but the red shirt is "Cold Painted" over the glaze. |
